HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING COLD & FLU SEASON

We strongly encourage those of you who are eligible to get a covid booster this fall and the flu shot. We have already started to notice an increase in the number of COVID cases among our own patients. These infections are best prevented!  Please vaccinate yourselves and your families, we are doing the same.

RSV is another respiratory virus that was more predominant last year and is expected to be again this year. The elderly and young infants are especially susceptible and can become hospitalized if infected. There is a vaccine that is available for people over 60, children under 2 and pregnant women.

Beyond vaccines, other means to protect yourself and your loved ones include good hand hygiene, wearing a mask and isolating when you are sick. We kindly ask if you do have any infectious symptoms to wear a mask into the clinic to reduce transmission. Further information regarding Cold and Flu season tips and fever management, follow the links below.

Thank you for doing your part to lower the morbidity and mortality that can come with these illnesses.
